Artisan Beer Tasting Event - Thursday, 27 August.
Four Points Sheraton in Caguas is having a "Degustacion de Cervezas Artesanales Y Cena" i.e. an Artisan Beer Tasting event and dinner on 27 August. It will be presented by Scott Kerkmans, the Sheraton Chief Beer Officer. Old-Harbor beer will also be there. More info at 787-653-1111
I called the number above and spoke with Sra. Ibel Cintron
It's seems it's more of Dinner than a typical beer-tasting, which is fine because I'm for anything that showcases beer on this island.
It's a 5 course meal paired with a different beer for each course. I've been to these types of events before where they pair a different wine with each course and they've always been fun and informative.
6:30pm cocktail hour.
8:00pm Dinner.

$50 per person. Reservations suggested.

OSJ Pub Crawl Aug 22 at 7pm Plaza de Armas
Alright, so we don't have an official hash set for the 22nd of August...but here is what I propose.
As many of you know, I'm starting a food and tour company (http://www.sanjuanfoodtours.com). I've been writing the script this week and I could use your help. This Saturday why don't we do a pub crawl all over OSJ and in between stops at the bars you can share with me your knowledge of OSJ and PR in general and we can do this collective drunken information sharing event that will be videotaped on my Flip Video. I'll also tell you guys my plans with the company and information I've learned about the city, too.
Then next weekend we can have an official hash.We will all start at Plaza de Armas, which is where the tour would start.

PS, got a random email today:
My son just watched a shark attack show and there's a Navy Seal describing how he was drunk swimming
(is there any other way?) and got nailed by a shark.
He's wearing a PRH3 shirt during the interview.
Tom (Thumb) would like to know if that's one of your hashers, and, if so, his hash name.

Great news!
We're happy to report that Ankles for Earrings will NOT be returning to the Afghanistan war zone in September as previously suspected. We're all elated at this and would like to dedicate the next hash to her! WOO HOO!

UPCUMMING HASH: Sunday Aug 16th
We're having a non-hash hash in El Yunque on something called the "River walk." It's an off the beaten trail type situation...with a river at the end! Lots of fun.
We'll be leaving San Juan in the morning on Sunday and spend all day up in the Fajardo area.
